The birds and the bees will love you for it! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe maize and beans are planted together in mounds and around the base of the plants grow the squash .The corns makes for a trellis for the climbing beans. The beans are nitrogen fixing via nodules under ground and apparently that helps to stabalize the corn crop in high winds.
