Cavalo Nero

Brassica oleracea Also known as Black Tuscan kale this variety has very dark green, savoyed, strap-like leaves. It is popular because of its dramatic look, but it would rather be in Italy, and yields poorly compared with other kales, but looks cool. Sow April to July directly in the soil or in modules. Thin or transplant to 60cm.
