A flint corn which means that it is for flour and not 'sweet corn'. It is is the most beautiful crop to grow. Opening the cobs is like Christmas, waiting to see what colour the next cob would be. This corn was bred by Carl Barnes, a part-Cherokee farmer living in Oklahoma, who passed it on to Greg Schoen, who passed it to Bill McDorman of Native Seed Search. You can read more about it here:
