Russian Frills

Brassica napus

A frilly red Russian type kale, which even has frills on its frills.  Vigorous and fast growing it is resistant to cold and drought. It can also be used in salad mix when it is small.  A reintroduction of a nearly extinct Oregon variety bred by Tim Peters in Douglas County, Oregon. Commercially lost in the US, but  found  by Adaptive seeds in Belgium with Seedsman Peter Bauwens, who passed it on to us.
