Spring onions, Along with salad leavers and radishes can be started on a windowsill or in a propagator for that early taste of fresh salad. Peppers chillies and tomatoes benefit from an early start, but can get leggy on windowsills, so just start a few and get them out to the green house on warm sunny days.
